Not knowing what to watch, I stumbled upon this interestingly titled 3D animated movie and was intrigued by it's cartoony, Disney Pixar looking characters. Boy, was I taken for a ride. Immediately into the movie, I was barraged with foul language coming out of the mouths of these cute looking supermarket food characters. As the show progresses, tons of sexual, religious and racial innuendos carried out through the seemingly innocent looking animation. If you have a dark sense of humour, this movie will be really entertaining. Personally, I felt that some parts were overstepping boundaries, although I did find myself laughing at some point at the absurd hilarity of their jokes. I liked how they translated the characteristics of ordinary supermarket items in this cartoony world. It's consistently provocative nature has kept me thinking to myself that this feels like the Seth Rogen movies that I've watched. And guess what? He is in it, along with his usual comrade, Jonah Hill. This one tends to overdo on some disgusting parts and I felt like covering my face with my hands to shut it out. But if I peek through my fingers, some parts do tickle my funny bone, especially the ones that portray real life in dark irony and humour. The bravado of this animation's profanity has me watching with my mouth agape. The ending is really unexpected, but I will not post any spoilers here. Don't be fooled by its poster, this movie is not for children! I repeat, not for children!
