This is one of those limited Netflix series that are so good, but for some reason they have decided not to give us more. I feel that Netflix is littered with series and movies that are so similar, yet so abundant. What attracted me to this show is that it's set in the Amazon jungle featuring its indigenous tribes, along with mystery and some mysticism. This combination sets it apart from the other Netflix shows and the execution does not disappoint. Everything in the show feels authentic - from the characters portraying the indigenous language and culture, the costumes, set locations and the relationships. I wish that the series lasted longer, so that they could divulge a little bit more on the mysticism part. But I'm okay with it, as they have not overdone it to the point of being too unrealistic, like some other series. I love how they portrayed the Amazon jungle as the star of the show, which instills a deeper love for it and how it is important to our existence. This first ever Colombian series to be featured on Netflix is quite a short one that could be finished over the weekend and online sources say that it won't be continuing its run with them, unfortunately. I'm glad that I watched it and now I want to go and hug a tree.
